I have collected two seperate reports for DvPlayer crashes. I understand that DvPlayer is a third party shareware utility but as DvPlayer SE is included with the OS and this is what I am using thought I should at least report it here.
Here is the outlines:
1.) Crashes while trying open a file while an MPEG2 stream was playing.
I was playing off a DVD and tried to open a file. It crashed. Of course it makes sense to stop it first but I expected DvPlayer to halt it. The result:

This is very easy to reproduce. Just load an mp3 file and start playing. After a while it will crash. It is recoverable and the music can go on.
Note that I did have some 320Kbps mp3s but I don't know if that matters. Result:
