BigBuckBunny 720p avi works well, 100% synchron, not 100% smooth in window mode and fullscreen mode
All cops are bastards 1080p avi works well, 100%synchron, only 80% smooth in window mode and fullscreen mode

Once again, for Tommy :
No need to try DvPlayer with a Radeon HD, it will be ok since it's overlay that is causing troubles. On the Radeon HD, you will not use overlay. It will just be slower than if you were using a Radeon 9xxx.

@TommySammy

Do you see a sort of lagging when using your "basic" system for some times (Odyssey and/or network activity and/or workbench use) ?

Thank you for your efforts.

Yes Odyssey seems a bit sluggish since the Final, sometimes page didn't load at all (page still blank) and you need to reload it again ..

Regarding DvPlayer more or less it works, however still various slowdown during playing, also i noted that if a set in tooltype the "XPOS=CENTER" the player window will not be centered correctly on the screen (it will be opened in a "top-center" position instead of just centered)
Option different problem with DPlayer is the mouse pointer, now it still visible even when a video is playing in fullscreen (while it should be hidden)

About games, Aquaria doesn't seems to work in FE, while Hurrican now crash badly at startup:

And old OctaMED SoundStudio V1.0.3c that was with TheMaestrix tool working flawlessy under AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6, causes the machine to freeze under AmigaOS 4.1 Final. This proves that it's not the program that causes the whole system to freeze, forcing a hard reset, but the OS itself. Clearly, there are various minor bugs in AmigaOS 4.1 Final. I'm 100% sure of it.

It's possible that most of the problems we have in this final release are related to the big changes done in order for unified the graphics area.
See this post: http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/v ... mpost93374

No doubt that this was a pretty needed modernization (an important step forward for sure and a big work in general) however maybe now this need a lot of refining expecially considering all the current "incompatibility", slowdown during use, freeze and so on

I read the link referring to the new unified graphic system. While this new feature is a lot better in general, it seems from your explanation that it causes these issuses in term of "incompatibility" with older programs, especially programs that were not originally designed to use RTG at all, using "old" methods. We see slowdown during use and things like freezes and some pointless small messages that don't really mean anything at all.

It would have been better to find a way to deal with these issuses, as well as releasing new versions of programs and tools that use the new features of AmigaOS 4.1 Final.

Reported as bug #9120.
Can you add this to your first post? Thanks.
