Nightlong

1. Install RTGmaster OS4 fix.
2. Install Nightlong.
3. Run Nightlong

You will get a DSI error (Guru Meditation 80000003) after selecting a screenmode. Ignore it, and the game starts.
There are some problems:
-sometimes game runs really fast (all animations are super fast). Try restarting the game and select different screenmode.
-distorted graphics

Verdict: Works, but not without problems

I have Nightlong installed, it worked on OS4 (upd1) with the steps you provided (i did the same back then and was able to play the whole game through (minus broken intro videos - they had been dissorted from the start)

upd2 and up introduced the game graphics dissortion which seem to "switch" back and forth and sometime completely "gauss" the whole game screen, killer for my eyes :-)

Apart from that the game runs pretty fine and methinks it just needs a little fiddling on the grpahics "driver" to make it work 100%

Regarding Nightlong:

Taken from the amigans.net thread:
You just need to have your WB set to 16bits and to turn compositing off, that's all.

Hereby confirming that it works with those steps

I got it working, too. Thanks :)

I figured out what's causing the super fast animation. It's not the screen mode but it depends on whether you are running the 68K or "no FPU" version of the game. The "no FPU" version is the fast one.

NEWS:

Latest version availible on Aminet fixed the compatibility issue under OS4
The bug was related to the bad opening/closing of timer.device

To make it working just set the tooltypes:

Handy CGFX REQUESTER

And make sure to have a Stack at 100000
