CD-Rom Bugs?

Post by nubechecorre »

I have just installed Amiga OS 4.1 U2 and U3 on my Classic Amiga 1200 (still to be registered) and everything was fine, i just have stupid problem and i don't know how to solve it..

Everytime i have to copy files from a cd rom to my hd, a requester told me that the files are write protected and i don't know how to solve the problem.. I discovered that this requester only appears when i try to copy a directory that contain files, so i have to manually create the directory in my destination and manually copy the files from the source to the destination..

Is there any option to setup to avoid all this work for a simple copy process?

Thanks :-)

Last time I had many problem managing files directly from CD (on my Sam), when i'installed the Update 3 i used to copy some preferences, type somethings on NotePad but i always get crash and crash .. of course your is a different problem but maybe there are some latent issue managing OS4 files directly from CD ...

Found a solution for my problem, simply using a non FastFileSystem2 is the solution. I don't know why but with FFS2 everytime i tried to copy a directory with files inside i got this error, while with another file system like for example sfs or even better jxfs no problems :)
