Re: OS4.1 fails to install on AmigaOne SE
AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 is the last I think.

Official support has never been dropped.Dirk-B wrote:What is the last official release of AmigaOS for the AmigaOne G3 SE ?
What has stopped is official beta testing on the SE. I don't want our developers and beta testers doing anything special for the SE due to its known broken design and developer board status. The same goes for the early MicroA1 dev boards, X1000 dev boards, etc.
If AmigaOS keeps working on the SE for you that's just fine. I know of one beta tester that still tests his stuff on the SE for fun.

Ok, thanks.
For the moment i work with the 4.1 u 1 iso, because thats easyer
to repair or reboot the system if something should go wrong.

Just for the thread's sake, updates 5 & 6 installed without problems on my SE, you just have to remember to comment out "MODULE Kickstart/uhci.usbhcd" in the kicklayout file each time, before rebooting.Phantom wrote:AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 is the last I think.

Hello Dirk-B, i have a Aone SE, too.
It works with update1 to update6.
But you must disable after every update the uhci.usbhcd and ehci.usbhcd.
I never manged to get USB with the Aone SE stable to work.
If you want to use onboard IDE with DMA, you must look at your VIA IC.
The VIA 82C686A works to C - UDMA 2 ( 33 MB/s, modeid 66), the VIA 82C686B works to E - UDMA 4 ( 66 MB/s, modeid 68)
You need this drivers to get working DMA with your Aone SE: http://aminet.net/driver/media/ide_driverpack.zip.
