Update3 Network/Roadshow settings.

I have an A1XEG3-800, and under update 3 I keep losing my internet connection.
It is not everytime I turn the machine on, but when I lose internet access it is a real pain.
I installed update3 on a new 2gb partition, and configured (accepted defaults) network access then,
and saved it. I then had internet access, brilliant.
The next time I booted no internet, I went into Prefs/Internet and played around a bit, I do not know
much about network/roadshow settings, but I ended up with a save requester, saved and had network access again.
Yesterday I had to use prefs/internet to gain internet access again.
To get access I have to select modify under the interface tab, and select use to get to the save & reboot requestor.
But at that point the reboot doesn't work, and I get a shell window titled "Internet" with the message "Waiting for network to shut down....."
I have to do a hard reset as ctrl+lAmiga+rAmiga doesn't work.
Today, trying the same thing doesn't resolve anything.
If I reboot from my update2 partition internet access is there, with no problems.
It would appear something network related has changed in update3, but I don't know where to look.
Any help gratefully received.
