The forum has an "advanced search" function, so didn't take me long to find this:

@ChrisH

I completed all of the changes proposed in the link you gave, with the following results. Actually deleting bootmouse.usbfd and bootkeyboard.usbfd after commenting the lines out in Kicklayout caused no problems that I could find. Moving hid.usbfd to Kickstart and adding the MODULE line prevented Workbench from getting past the splash image.

Restoring a copy of hid.usbfd to Devs:USB/FD restored normal service. It did not seem to matter whether or not the corresponding line in Kicklayout was commented out, or not.

I should mention that the PS/2 keyboard and PS/2 mouse are selected in UBoot as the boot preference devices as I always have them plugged in, in case of problems of this sort needing to be sorted out.

I might try again with the full process with the USB devices selected as priority in UBoot or I might just let sleeping dogs, lie!
