This might probably be slightly off-topic but thinking that the X1000 has the excellent onboard, 32 bit Intel HD Audio chip, which is now supported with an own AHI driver.
My question is: Why not make a PCIe x1 based audio card using this excellent 32 bit Intel HD Audio chip, so that AmigaOne 500 and SAM460ex users also can have 32 bit audio as an option?
It would be a very interesting solution, as i personally find 32 bit audio very interesting! It's time to overcome the 16 bit barrier. 16 bit is long obsolete, as the 8 bit is before that.
So why not make such a 32 bit PCIe HD audio card? I'm just asking.
PCIe based HD Audio suggestion?
