Hello,
With Update3, copy 210mo on my FAT32 16go USB key, with dopus4 or with the system (cut/paste file), on the front or rear USB plug of the tower.
210mo -> 100 secs = 2.1mo/s
same result with my verry old and slow Lexar 1go key.
On the PC, the same file is copied in less than 10 seconds.
I don't understand.

Re: USB copy speed on SAM440ep
Some things which work on Windows (which contains lots of work-arounds & bugs assumed to be true on all OSes), may not work on an Amiga or other niche OS.
Would be an idea to try another memory stick, or even better, an external harddisk.
Might also be worth formatting it as SFS, to see if this helps speed (probably not, but if it will help narrow down where the problem lies).

@Mrodfr
I ran some quick tests and it seems that the problem is with CrossDos and not USB. Here are my results for copying 8 files totaling 116MB:
Copy from Ram: to USB mem stick formatted with FAT= 280 seconds
Copy from USB mem stick formatted with FAT to Ram:= 13 seconds
Copy from Ram: to USB mem stick formatted with SFS= 25 seconds
Copy from USB mem stick formatted with SFS to Ram:= 12 seconds
The timings were approximate but the SFS times were within a range I would expect; write speeds somewhat longer than read speeds. The read/write time differences for FAT are way out of the norm. When I checked the mount parameters for the FAT and SFS mem sticks using MountInfo I notice that FAT (crossdoss) shows 1 (chip memory) for BufMemType and SFS shows 4096 (local memory) for BufMemType. I don't know if the memory type makes any difference but I find it curious that they are different.

@xenic
Thanks for your post and your speed test. Verry interesting (BufMemType).
