This is what I get... (not running in debugmode, which I do not know how to do). :)

I notice that it does not say anything about not finding ENVY24HT. Some other logs that I've seen from people on this forum have that show as either found or not found....

Erm, seems your soundcard/chip isn't recognized by ENVY AHI driver: "No Envy24 found!"

What files do you have in "SYS:Devs/AudioModes"?

CMI8738
CS4281
DEVICE
EMU10KX
ENVY24
ENVY24HT
FILESAVE
FM801
SB128
SM502
SOLO_ONE
VIA-AC97

I'm pretty sure that the soundcard I bought is not supported. As was mentioned, it seems only the Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space and Terratec 5.1 Sky were supported. My Terratec audio board is a Aureon 7.1, but not the "Space" version of it. It is the PCIe version, and not PCI if that might help?

And... also... why doesnt the dumpdebugbuffer output ENVY24HT as "Not found"... ? See previous post. :)

Do you have the envy24ht driver installed? You list shows the descriptors but not the drivers

you can find it here if it's installed.

9.AmigaOS4:> list Devs/AHI/Envy24HT.audio

Envy24HT.audio 76256 ----rwed 23-Nov-13 11:09:04

If the card has an Envy24 or Envy24HT chipset, it should work.
Try to find out if your SAM460cr recognises it. I'm not familiar with the SAM motherboards so I can't help you on that.
You could try running pciscan (http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... ciscan.lha). I think it will list the PCIe devices, too.

After doing some more research into the card itself, it seems that it is not based on Envy24 chipset, but CMI8738. My best hope is to get one of those cards from ACube instead of taking a chance on other cards. :)

No, the PCIe version seems to be based on the CM8888, which apparently isn't even supported by ALSA under Linux.

A small but happy update!

I got one of those PCIe boards from ACube, and it works nicely in my Sam460cr. :)

The Terratec board that I bought... I'll probably throw it into one of my PC workstations at some point. ;)
