Could not install Update 6 on Pegasos 2

Hy Dear!

I have a strange problem with Amiga OS4.1 Update 6 on Pegasos 2. When i try to install it, the
Installation-Utility starts normal but then crashes before files are installed
with a freeze without a Grim-Reaper. All other updates till Update 5 are working fine.
My Peg only have a SB-Live in all other is standard. Any reasons?

Does Python work properly on your system?

Open a shell and type "python" and it runs as it should? (type "quit()" to exit python)

Yes Python works fine on my system. I forget to tell, that the crash is close before the files will copied at the time when he make a backup of the prefs and kicklayout etc.

That would not be wise. Your system is broken. I think you need to find out what broke before going any further.

hi mate, i have a pegasos2 with g4 1ghz and the os4.1 up 6 work great.
I had your same problem on my Sam 460 it was because something goes bad in update 5, i can suggest you reinstall the update 5 and retry the 6. (usually the 5 is the most problematic update)

Ok, i install Update 5 once more, but no difference...Update 6 crashes. So i decidet to install OS4.1 new and than will see what happens.

So i solved the problem now. It depend on an old Phython-Installation on my system. Now update 6 is installed and os4 works fine.
