Turned out to be a faulty Reset switch. Million to one fault, crazy.ddni wrote:So we have a fix, do we have a cause?
All this disconnecting PSUs and removing RAM, sounds like some sort of voodoo! What exactly is it fixing?
Discharging some stubborn capacitors? Reseating loose parts? Coincidental extended down time allowing something to cool?
In regard to your other questions, sometimes the power circuit seems to get stuck in an odd state and causes issues.
Removing the ram and power connector then holding power to discharge seems to fix it. This is very rare though.
