I'm using this CPUclock docky on my X1000:
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... _docky.lha
(it is the first version by Peter Gordon, not the updated one by Stephen Fellner)
However, it doesn't seem to work right. It always shows lots of activity when in idle mode. For example, here is what it shows when doing nothing for several minutes:
It is a clean OS4.1 FE system. There are no tools running in the background that would justify the high CPU usage. On my Pegasos2 and on the Sam440 CPUclock.docky is working correctly and doesn't show any activity when the system is just idling. I really only see this strange behaviour on the X1000. So is this just a problem with CPUclock.docky or should I be worried about my X1000 hardware?

Try CPUInfo instead (not at the same time) does that show the same usage?
Are you sure nothing is going on in the background?
It's much more likely to be a bug that an issue with hardware.

Re: CPUclock docky on X1000
Ok, the updated CPUInfo works much better and CPU usage is mostly around 5% now which seems plausible. Still, I prefer the old look of the Peter Gordon docky with the clock. It's a pity that it doesn't work correctly on the X1000.
Re: CPUclock docky on X1000
CPUclock does work for me neither.
With CPUInfo, it is better but it usually reports around 10% of CPU consumption with no special activity, what does not seem to illustrate reality.

CPUDock.docky is a great alternative, have it running for months now and it's pretty accurate (as far as i can tell), but it doesn't show "scrolling usage bars" which is probably what softwarefailure is looking for(?)zzd10h wrote:@Corto

@Raziel
If "scrolling usage bar" means History, CPUDock have it, it doesn't work for you ?

Still on CPUDock.docky 50.5 (25.06.2014) here
I'll switch to the AmiStore version once (if?) CPUDock gets the feature we talked about over eMail
