Could you try to use fedora 17 with kernel 3.10.3-2-ubuntu? It works very well on my X1000. :)

Download: kernel-3.10.3-6.17-2-powerpc-x1000-ubuntu.tar.bz2

I only come to the point where the network card is loaded this time
Then there happens no more.
Is it possible that you can link to a place where I can download the same img file that you use.
Thanks in advance

Hi Musa,

I know this issue. That happens when you haven't edited the fstab with the correct name of the partition where fedora is installed.
Configure fstab to reflect your system e.g. replacing the UUID strings with your own root partition
and swap partition respectively. In this example /dev/sdd1 is the root partition and /dev/sdd2 is the
swap partition.
nano -w /mnt/fedora/etc/fstab
##
/etc/fstab
# Created by anaconda on Sat Jun 16 15:53:40 2012
##
Accessible filesystems, by reference, are maintained under '/dev/disk'
# See man pages fstab(5), findfs(8), mount(8) and/or blkid(8) for more info
# /
dev/sdd1 /
ext4 defaults 1
1
/dev/sdd2 swap swap defaults 0 0

Running Linux on AmigaONEs can require some tinkering.

Thanks for your input but I have fstab configured correctly. I think there is an error in the img file I use to build my fedore partition. It is no longer possible to download the img file so I dont think I can get any longer
but thanks for your help :)

I came in and configured a user and then the system went to a standsby. I did a reset but now I come only to (Starting Network Manager wait online .....)
And again, system went to a standsby. Trying several different Kernels with the same result.
