Yes Raziel, you are right, I need to explain.

Normal DivX videos and DVD work well with HD6670 and DVplayer even in full-screen.

What is not working is HD full screen video (like the 2 bunny links)
In full screen I have a whole strange green screen (like you I think).
It works well with the 9250.

I have the same avcodec than you
13.System:> version libs/avcodec.library
avcodec.library 53.611

Not a big problem, for these kind of videos and for replay videos on internet (rtmp videos on a french channel website) I switch to my 9250.

And, for you Mechanic, are these 2 bunny videos work on your 6850 ?

I just asked kicko on the channel to test the video (6850 HD) and he gets a green striped fullscreen aswell.

So either this is something to do with avcodec.library/DVPlayer or the RadeonHD.chip driver

i don't know if it's relevant but it works fullscreen with this avcodec library
On Pegasos2 with Radeon 9000 Pro AGP
On X1000 with Radeon 9250 PCI

So, it "might" probably be the driver...

No, they only work in whatever size DVPlayer initially opens to for them. Even dragging the DV window larger or smaller creates the same green lines problem. I don't think its the hardware as I have other avi's that do scale very well. I am thinking its how the avi was produced, but...???

The most likely reason for the difference is because overlay is used on with Radeon 9000 cards, and not with Radeon HD cards. This changes how the video data is displayed (e.g., requiring manual YUV->RGB conversion and scaling), and can expose bugs that would lie hidden otherwise. If it only happens with these particular videos, then I suggest looking into a potential avcodec bug.

P.S. What does this have to do with the "Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670"?

@Hans

Thanks for the advice, will inform the author then
P.S. What does this have to do with the "Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670"?
Yeah, we got side-tracked, sorry :-)

edit: I will stop posting about third party programs here.
The author of avcodec.lib has been informed and we will continue on amigans.net

Sorry for the noise

Yes, a little bit,
Initially i asked to know how to use 2d/3d acceleration on MintPPC and Trevor replied me that my problem came from my dual card setup hd6670 & 9250).
It was right but the deviation began because I said that I needed the 9250 to watch videos on AmigaOS4 (initially i said dvd and videos fullscreen, but in fact just hd videos are problematic with radeon hd).

Update

I am posting this from A1-X1000 running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with a dual graphic card setup (HD6870 & Radeon 9250)

I'm pleased to report that 3D acceleration works fine with the latest kernel as does compiz special effects (wobbly windows etc) (with both video cards installed). :-)

See attached screengrab.
