Yes, they removed the "secondary" field from the struct, but the "busn_res" field seems to serve the same purpose, except that it is a range. I just changed the test identifying the SB600 to checking for a range starting with bus "5", and that seems to have worked.daz wrote:The modification you refer to will be the pci device secondary bus i assume (caused me a bit of trouble)

Re: Linux 3.5.7 vs Radeon HD 6570
I have built the kernel 3.8.7 with the patch http://mc.pp.se/nemo_3.8.7.patch.
Download: kernel-3.8.7x1000.tar.gz
By the way: The story modus of SuperTuxKart works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is fantastic!!!!!!!!! All add-ons are working.
Thank you for the patch
I don't have this issue. The new kernel works very well with Debian 7 Wheezy and Lubuntu 12.04. There aren't any problems with sound, 3D acceleration etc.marcus wrote:the mouse pointer froze for a few seconds, but after that things were able to proceed.

Re: Linux 3.5.7 vs Radeon HD 6570
To put it more clearly, it actually was a range before too, but stored in the two scalar fields "secondary" and "subordinate". They just did a refactoring where these two fields were replaced with a resource struct.marcus wrote:Yes, they removed the "secondary" field from the struct, but the "busn_res" field seems to serve the same purpose, except that it is a range. So any reference to pci_bus->secondary is now pci_bus->busn_res.start, and any reference to pci_bus->subordinate is now pci_bus->busn_res.end. That's the entire scope of the change, as far as I can tell...

No, that's probably specific to my app.xeno74 wrote:I don't have this issue.marcus wrote:the mouse pointer froze for a few seconds, but after that things were able to proceed.
I'm glad you liked it.xeno74 wrote:Thank you for the patch
