I have fantastic news for you. I have built a new 3.10.0 kernel with support for graphics cards by Radeon HD 7000 series.

Download kernel: kernel-3.10.0-x1000-hd7000.tar.gz

Darren has interesting information for you about the support of the Radeon 7000 HD series: Linux HD7xxx Status.

Have a lot of fun with try out!

Thanks for posting this. Have you tried your kernel with a Radeon series 7xxx card. Does 3D gfx acceleration work OK. I plan to test myself in the next day or so.

Hi,

Unfortunately I don't have a Radeon 7xxx card but I have built the firmwares of Radeon 7xxx cards into the new Kernel 3.10.0. :)

Anyway. I have created a X1000 page with a lot of pictures and links to the Linux Kernels -> x1000.html [German]. :)

I've performed some tests with your 3.10.0 kernel and a RadeonHD 6870 and 7750 cards. Fine with the HD6870 but no 3D acceleration with the 7750 card. PM send.
