buying 2nd GigaByte

Post by ggw »

Note from Trevor:

Apologises, I managed to hijack your post about buying another GB of RAM. Sorry.

But to answer your questions .I suggest you contact AmigaKit through their support ticket system and ask their advice on compatible RAM for your AmigaONE X1000

I'm sure they can supply your your needs or suggest alternatives.

Well. OK. I'm going with a duplicate of the 1 Gig memory.

I had AmiKit decide for me what was required. I had to insist (and cited Trevor's suggestion to me to let them do that) and THEN (only then I thinik) they read the whole of my emails. We settled on 4 gigabytes housed in 2 "Crucial" memory boards. The 1 Gigabyte that came with my X1000 is now surplus if anyone wants it.

So there it is April 15th and I'm set to pick up the Linux pieces and try again.... for which I've posted another question.
