Worker, the DOpus clone for Linux

Post by xeno74 »

Hi All,

Worker, the DOpus clone for Linux doesn't work if you installed it from the repositories for (L)ubuntu 12.04.4. It doesn't work on the Live Remix distribution, either.
I have compiled the latest version 3.3.3 for the Live Remix distribution and for (L)Ubuntu 12.04.4.

Download: worker-3.3.3-powerpc.tar.bz2

Installation instructions
  1. Download and extract worker-3.3.3-powerpc.tar.bz2
  2. Create a data directory for Worker in the home directory. For example:

    Code: Select all

    mkdir -p share/worker
  3. Copy your language config to the data directory. For example:

    Code: Select all

    christian@AmigaoneX1000:~/worker-3.3.3-powerpc$ cp examples/config-english /home/christian/share/worker/
  4. Start Worker with ./run_worker.sh

*** New version of Worker, the DOpus clone for the Live Remix distribution ***

Hi All,

I've improved Worker for our Live Remix distribution.

New:
  • The new Worker binary is much smaller than the old binary
  • You don't need to create a data directory for Worker
Download: worker-3.3.3-2-linux-powerpc.tar.bz2

Have a lot of fun with the new Worker 3.3.3-2!

Rgds,

Christian
