Julian released a new ubuntu MATE 16.04 installation initial RAM disk today.

So no software selection screen is shown during the installation.
The install script functions tested ok on my Sam460ex with the Sam460ex version .

Download: initrd-4.1.18_ubuntu-mate_16.04-ppc64-1.gz (I suggest to download it with a right click on the link and then with the menu point "Save target as" or something like this.)

@Spectre660: Thanks a lot for the new ubuntu MATE 16.04 installation initial RAM disk. Well done! :-)

PLEASE test it.

Hi xeno!

Tried Kernal 4.1.21 with Ubuntu 12.04.05 LTS. glxgears had a slight drop in performance. However, it booted well. Not ready for the Wizardry to perform an Ubuntu Mate update. Still enjoying Ubuntu 12.04 with the 4.1.20 kernel. I am Attention Deficit Disorder compliant, though. X1000 running AOS and Ubuntu. Mac running OSX and Windows 7 Pro. Now a Sam4604ex. I'm not bored at all. The Radeon HD 6670 and PWRficient Gigabyte Ethernet is fun! So long-term Kernel 4.1.20 is running great. Thank you.

Cheers!!
