Lately when I boot Ubuntu 12.04 I get a message on the splash screen, under the logo, about some disk drive with a long designation not being ready. I am given the option of pressing the "S" key or something else, but before I quite finish reading what the "S" will do (not wait for something?) the warning vanishes, perhaps to return briefly a second later, before the 12.04 desktop comes up like in the old days.
I guess I should just be happy that the desktop does indeed come up, but I wonder whether this foretells a future problem?
I have an idea that this may have started when the SSD I originally had ubuntu installed on went bad, and I had to reinstall it between some OS4 partitions on my basic hard drive.
