Since I had already done an update of the packages, I decided to start over before performing the dist-upgrade. I removed my ubuntu partition, booted from the Ubuntu DVD, added (with GParted) a Linux partition (same size as the one I deleted) and installed Ubuntu on the new partition. Then I restarted my X1000 and booted from the hard-disk partition and performed the dist-upgrade. I'm not sure what to do about the errors I got with the dist-upgrade but Ubuntu seems to be working the same as it did before.xeno74 wrote:It seems it is necessary to do an apt-get dist-upgrade for an update from 16.04.1 to 16.04.5. Thanks for the hint!
