Changing menu shortcuts is a form of sabotage anyway. In short: Never do it.

You don't seem to grasp my meaning. On the facebook amigaos page a few mentioned the idea of multi users. I returned in saying we can't do much with a userless file system/permissions etc. But what could be done is a way to segregate a user from altering critical areas through simple knowledge. As mentioned before it would be good to switch off the functionality for security purposes. Thus removing 'Execute command' from the menu and shortcut, otherwise we would be going back to hacks like MCP which could get screwed by OS updates.

I think I do. You are talking about removing or disabling certain items from the WB menu, and that's fine (if a way can be found), given the intended purpose. (I'm not sure it can be made possible, or convinced that it should, but that's another matter.)

But then you also seem to talk about changing which shortcut key a certain menu item uses (or, even worse, which menu item a certain shortcut invokes), and that's a no-no. (I'm basing this assumption on your statement "or change its shortcut RAmiga-E" in an earlier post.)
Thus removing 'Execute command' from the menu and shortcut
Okay, maybe I'm misunderstanding you after all. You're only talking about removing the shortcut of the menu item you also remove? In that case, no problem, it's just because you haven't realised that the two are inseparable. The shortcut is part of the menu item and cannot exist if it is not attached to a menu item, so you don't have to remove it in addition to removing the menu item.

yes, thats pretty much it, removing the 'Execute' menu hook, changing the RAmiga-E to NULL(if allowed) or some other impossible key-combination. So in essence only allowing the user to use programs/prefs that are either in the context menu, tools menu, purposely left out icons or any other programme launcher (such as amidock).

But yes, ideally this could be switched off by some preferences, which in time could be protected by a user-aware filesystem
