- automatically let the partitions start at a sectoraddress divisible by eight (see Advanced Format Drives)
- enter the partitionsize in mb and gb. The sectors/pixel ratio is way to high for large drives in partition.gadget and calculating the needed sector borders by hand is not very user-friendly.

It would be very nice if there would be a way in Media Toolbox to

Re: creating partitions with Media Toolbox
Partitions always start at cylinder boundary. If cylinder size is divisible by 8, then partitions are automatically aligned to advanced format sectors, no need to calculate anything. I've not yet seen any harddrive for which HDToolbox or Media Toolbox has not made cylinder size divisible by 8. No need for manual intervention.
Re: creating partitions with Media Toolbox
Either way I think it needs to be easier. Perhaps related to the maximum size of the HD. Be it TB or GB range. It really needs to let the user enter directly or with a slider select amounts in GB. Or for smaller drives MB.
It doesn't matter if it isn't exaclty aligned to a MB or GB, MTB can align it to the nearest sector, But it needs to become easier.
It should also preload settings each filesystem, such as blocksize and type. For example FFS should default to DOS7 and 2048 sectors, if used for Workbench. But that's another story.
