Wouldn't it be nice to have an option to be able to simply click a "Make New Drawer" icon instead off choosing it from the menu?
The same option can be made for Installer instead of having to type the path.
A button to make a new drawer while using ASL and Installer

It would be handy but it would also increase the complexity of the requester, it already has 4 buttons while most requesters only have 2 or 3 (OK/Cancel or Save/Use/Cancel).
As it stands now you can either use the menu, the RAmiga-N shortcut, or type the new drawer name in the path directly and in most cases you'd need to use the keyboard anyway to type the new name.
Nonetheless since ASL has its own preferences it could give the user the option to pick which buttons to show while keeping the default settings as they are now. It would be an easy project for some rainy afternoon

Or it could be one of the options to assign to mouse buttons?AlexC wrote:Nonetheless since ASL has its own preferences it could give the user the option to pick which buttons to show while keeping the default settings as they are now. It would be an easy project for some rainy afternoon
Speaking of options in ASL prefs, shouldn't there be one to select/de-select creating an icon for the new drawer? Or/and maybe a menu item (checkmark type) in the file requester itself?
Best regards,
