@broadblues

re: the whole AREXX doing quotes automatically...

My bad, i'm sorry, of course it doesn't so that...that's why we had the quotes added before sending the url to Odyssey...sorry for the mixup.

Thank you

I've had a discussion with Colin about the "=" substitution before and suggested that "=" should only be substituted with a space if it is preceded by a keyword in the template. However, I'm not sure if it would be wise to change argument parsing this late in the game; it's been the way it is for decades.
Maybe only for that specific case with url's and only within the URL Prefs program?

I doubt if you could fix it for just URL prefs as it's parsed before the program sees it. And I'll say it agin just for emphasis and not at all to be annoying :-)

"Quoted=Good"

unquoted broken equals.

Ah...the parsing is not specific for the program(s) but is overall controlled by the system.
A change would affect everything?

Hmm...so maybe not worth the trouble then.

I learned a long time ago that quoting is the best you can do on AmigaOS :-)
Thanks for reminding me
