Dual Monitor on X5000

Postby amigasociety » Wed Dec 21, 2016 12:38 am

Having been a past X1K owner and about to be X5K owner, anyone running dual displays on X5K? The X1K had two PCI-E X16 slots so having two cards worked and I enjoyed running dual displays on the X1K. Since the X5K only has one port, wonder if we will ever see driver that allows the two slots on one video card be used for dual displays. Not sure if there are good older cards for the PCI-E x4 slots. Just curious is all. TJ

Hey TJ,

AFAIK there is no support yet for dual displays connected to the one gfx card. I wish there were.
cheers

Let us revive this oldest message here in the forum.

I used dual display on X1K. It worked. Not as swell as a Mac, but worked.

X5K only has 1 PCIx16 slot for big graphics cards but we do have other slots... PCIeX1 and X4.

Wondering.... as I just found out they make adapters that allow PCIeX16 video cards in x1 and x4 slots...

How about using 2 Radeon 7750 in the X5K?

One using the PCIeX4 slot and this adapter?

Or a x1 to x16 here:

Slower but may be fine for every day office use graphics.
