Unfortunately the VLC player from the default repository doesn't work on the X5000. Please use another media player instead. I use audacious for example.

Well, all of a sudden I have (almost) no problems with sound or YouTube. I think earlier I must have been trying SMPlayer for sound, but if I double-click on an audio or video file, VLC pops up a screen. I have finally learned to single click and go to "Open with > [Enqueue in] SMPlayer."

I think I will try audacious too. The picture in your next post if very attractive.
