Hello!
Does the basic Radeon HD driver included with OS 4.1FE work also with the Oland chip set, so that you can do the installation of both AmigaOS and Enhancer Plus Software? I know that proper support for Oland has been added to the newest Radeon HD driver (2.21) , but it is not yet on the v. 1.1 of Enhancer CD, so you must first have a working system to be able to upgrade the driver via AmiUpdate...

4.1 FE Radeon HD driver and Oland chip set
Re: 4.1 FE Radeon HD driver and Oland chip set
Hi
The latest public release of the Enhancer Software v1.2 (Plus and Standard Editions) have the full RadeonHD driver with Oland chipset support. The 4.1 FE CD contains a restricted RadeonHD Lite driver intended for basic OS installation purposes only. It does not support Oland chipset support as it pre-dates the newest Enhancer Software CD.
To keep users up to date, the RadeonHD driver incremental updates will shortly be distributed via Updater application in future. Expect Updater to feature on the next Enhancer Software V1.3 release.

Re: 4.1 FE Radeon HD driver and Oland chip set
Do you mean above that it is NOT possible to install OS from the 4.1 FE CD with the RadeonHD Lite driver, if you have an 'Oland' based graphics board...? How should you do it then...?amigakit wrote:The latest public release of the Enhancer Software v1.2 (Plus and Standard Editions) have the full RadeonHD driver with Oland chipset support. That's correct.
The OS4.1 FE CD pre-dates the latest RadeonHD drivers developments which is being continually updated. This will always be a problem. We are considering solutions.

No, there is no single-install. You could:Gregor wrote:Hello!

a) Use your system before purchasing Oland based card, buy just the driver (AmiStore) or install enhancer and driver
AND then install Oland based gfx card
b) Buy some Radeon 77xx-79xx that can be even better performant for similar price,
and OS 4.1FE could boot, then add Enhancer and there is Warp3D Nova!
Re: 4.1 FE Radeon HD driver and Oland chip set
Would this solution work: Copying the contents of the 4.1 FE installation CD on other media and replacing the Radeon HD Lite driver with the latest one? Is there needed any other modifications? Can you download the latest Radeon driver somewhere (with a classic Amiga or non-amiga machine) if you already own the Enhancer package?amigakit wrote:The OS4.1 FE CD pre-dates the latest RadeonHD drivers developments which is being continually updated. The Updater screen shot looks nice, but I hope this eye-straining "Slytherin" color scheme (at least for the "available" wording) get's changed to something more "Gryffindor" or "Ravenclaw" -like for all that matter.. ;-Pamigakit wrote:Hi
