Just skimmed through this thread quickly, so I might have missed something. I did not see any answer to the question about where us new OS4 users should introduce ourselves.
My X1000 was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 15th, 2012, but FedEX has screwed up and did not clear the package properly through Customs when it arrived from AmigaKit, so now it has to be sent back from California, to their main distribution hub in Tennessee, where it can go through the Customs Clearing process properly this time, and then be shipped back to California, so it can be put on a truck to be delivered to my home in the mountains.
So, my first OS4.x compatible computer is going to be a few extra days getting to me, but now that I have received an email with the serial number for my OS4.1.5 product, I have registered it with Hyperion and hope to be admitted to the X1000 forum areas, to join in those discussions with other X1000 owners and beta-testers.
Let me know where I should introduce myself and bore all of you with my life story and Amiga history.

Edit: Sorry the OP did not get his order in to AmigaKit in time to purchase a "First Contact" X1000 system. I know that they sold out in about 36 hours. Not sure how large the production run was, but it is good to see that the demand for the X1000 is strong. Hopefully, another production run will happen soon and the OP will be able to get in on that batch. When ordering, or pre-ordering starts again, don't delay in getting your order sent in, as they might sell out again just as quickly, depending on how large the next production run is.
Until all the drivers for the X1000 motherboard are completed, I would consider any further production runs to still be "limited" productions runs. It will be interesting to see how many X1000's can get produced and sold during this first year of public release for the X1000.
